 Thalipeeth (Mixed Flour Bread) 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Jowar flour
  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons Bengal gram flour
  • 2 tablespoons Rice flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 cup Chopped onions
  • 5 tablespoons Oil
  • Water
  • Salt (As per taste)
Method
Sieve and combine all the flours with a little oil and mix well. Add water and knead into a firm but elastic dough with the remaining ingredients. Divide the dough into balls that fit in the palms of your hand. Flatten each ball into a circle on a banana leaf or a similar non-stick surface, with moist palms.

Heat a griddle and smear it evenly with oil. When hot enough put the prepared thalipeeth on it and cook both sides till brown. Ocassionally add 1/2 tsp.oil to the thalipeeth, as it cooks. When done on both sides, remove it from the griddle. Serve hot with curd or pickle.
