 Chapa Pulusu 
Ingredients
  • 1/2 kg Fish
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 3 Sliced onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 5 Dry red chillies
  • 8 Curry leaves
  • 1/2 Coconut
  • 2 Chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Chopped coriander leaves
  • Water
  • Salt (As per taste)
Method
Cut fish into 2" fillets. Marinate with turmeric, salt and a little garlic paste. Slightly dry roast and grind together coriander powder, cumin powder and sesame seeds. Mix the remaining garlic paste with the ground spices.

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry onions, mustard seeds and red chillies till brown. Add ground roasted spices, curry leaves and salt. Grate and grind the coconut. Squeeze the grated coconut to make 1 1/2 cups thick coconut milk. Add half the coconut milk to the onion-spice mixture. Cook on a low flame for a few minutes. Add the marinated fish,remaining coconut mik, tomatoes and one cup water. Simmer till the fish is cooked. Add coriander leaves and bring to a boil. Remove from fire.

Serve hot with rotis or boiled rice.
