 Tantiam Koddi (Egg Curry) 
Ingredients
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 small Green chillies
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tamarind paste
  • 1 cup Thick coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup Grated coconut
  • 6 Red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 6 Black peppercorns
  • 4 tablespoons Oil
  • Salt (As per taste)
Method
Boil the eggs and fry them till they are an even brown colour. Keep aside.

Grind together the grated coconut, red chillies, cumin seeds, pepper, garlic to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan, add the mustard seeds. When the seeds start crackling, add the chopped onions and chillies. Saute till the onions are light brown in colour. Add the ground masala paste and fry well. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add the tamarind paste and boil for 3-4 minutes. Add the coconut milk and the eggs. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot with rice.
