Sift together maida, baking powder, soda and cocoa. Mix the maida with Milkmaid-butter mixture alternating with cola till the maid and cola are over. Immediately pour into the prepared tin and bake for 30-40 minutes at 150C. Cool and slit horizontally into two. Whip cream till light and fluffy.
Sandwich the two layers of cake with whipped cream and destoned cherries.
