The Valley of Flowers
Nubra Valley, also known as Ldumra or the "valley of flowers," is a tri-armed valley located north of Leh. Once a key trading post on the ancient Silk Route connecting India to Central Asia, it retains an exotic, timeless charm.
The valley is a geographical marvel - cold desert sand dunes at Hunder, lush green villages fed by glacier streams, and rugged mountain passes all coexist in this unique landscape. The rare double-humped Bactrian camels are descendants of pack animals that once carried silk and spices.
Reaching Nubra requires crossing Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. The journey itself is an unforgettable adventure through dramatic Himalayan terrain.
