About the Destination

Where the Ganges Meets the Mountains

Rishikesh, cradled in the foothills of the Himalayas where the Ganges flows from the mountains into the plains, is one of India's holiest cities. It's been a spiritual center for thousands of years, attracting sages, seekers, and pilgrims.

The town gained international fame when The Beatles visited in 1968 to learn Transcendental Meditation. Today, it's the undisputed yoga capital of the world, with hundreds of ashrams and yoga schools catering to spiritual seekers.

But Rishikesh is also India's adventure sports hub. The Ganges offers world-class white water rafting, while the surrounding cliffs provide bungee jumping and cliff jumping experiences.
