Mochar Ghanto (Banana blossom curry)

Ingredients |
- 4 teaspoons 5 Spice Seeds
- 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
- 2-3 Green chillies
- 2 tablespoons Grated coconut
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder

- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
- 3 tablespoons Mustard oil
- 3/4 kg Banana blossoms
- Salt (As per taste)

Method |
Peel and chop the banana blossoms and soak them in water for 40 minutes before cooking.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan. Fry the panch phoran till the seeds begin to crackle. Add the ginger paste,chopped green chillies and turmeric powder. Stir well and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add chopped banana blossoms, salt, and water. Bring to a boil. Once it starts boiling, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Sprinkle coconut and garam masala powder. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
